There have been some reports of the ‘My Documents’ network mapping feature not working anymore in the new update(s). This is somewhat correct in that one of the fixes we implemented was a fix for this exact problem that occured primarily in Microsoft Windows Server 2008. This fix however had an unfortunate side effect.
Before the fix it was perfectly acceptable to just write the user name in the ‘Logon username’ box under ‘network mapping’ in the server, even if on a domain and the user name was a domain user. After the fix however it is now necessary to write the full name, including the domain, for the user. Like this: DOMAIN\USER. Basically the same way you would add the domain user to give him permission to access a folder share through Windows.
We were not aware of this necessity and we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. With the next update (currently in the works), this will be clearly explained in the ‘network mapping’ settings area. Until then, the fix is to just write the domain name as well as the user name in the ‘Logon username’ box, in the format explained above.
This is only applicable to cafés on a network with a domain and where the ‘My Documents’ network mapping feature (U drive) isn’t working following the update(s).

That might not be the only set of bug(s)…
), the other issue was something to do with Intel’s SpeedStep. The bat fix work correctly. I tried reverting the client to build-320, that didn’t make any difference….
I recently noticed during an All Night Private LAN party that the batch file I use to make a temporary windows registry fix for “Command & Conquer – Red Alert 2″, which disables sound acceleration and re-enables it after the game exists.
It seems not every one has this problem with the older C&C games(we use an Integrated SoundMAX for Audio
It may not be related to the new build at alll maybe the server… I’m not sure.. All I know is that the bat file script(s) are correct.

Oh I see. I’m not sure what you mean exactly. What is the bug? Also, could you post this as a support ticket instead? That’s easier to track

The bug is the game exe is not starting or being skipped in
batch file… or at least that’s what appears to be doing.
Here is a link to my post containing everything I have posted on this.

As far as submitting a ticket goes are we talking a ticket through the main web site or are we talking the bug tracker I now have access to (thanks to you ^^).
Also I have Hardware Profiles setup for all our PCs 3 to be exact.
when you get a chance to read my post let me know.
I’m wondering if it has something to do with the Game Profile itself? am internal glitch in the server? @_@

I meant a ticket through the main website, but it’s fine, the forum post is fine
I’m not sure how the update could have caused it. I personally made all the changes and I don’t recall messing with the bat files in any way. Still, who knows
Anyway, I’m gonna have a few people take a look at your forum post and get back to you.

I’m not really sure either.
All I know is Red Alert 2′s bat file fix was working properly at some point in the past…. I test them myself. and the bat file works when I execute it from the desktop shortcut or directly from the game directory.
Thank you and the other Devs as well.
They want I’ll post all the SL-GameProfile settings and screen shots as well if you want.
Image Shack has been pretty handy.

Thomas Replied to my Topic back towards the end of May Sadely I haven’t had a chance to reply yet.
I just wanted him to know I haven’t forgotten about it.

So, our client isn’t seeing the 352 update when checking for updates.
Also, I am not sure if I understand what you are referring to. We are running Windows Sever 2003. Does this issue apply to us as well?
Please view my bug post in the previous blog update.
May 27, 2009 at 10:45 pm
There is no 352 update yet. We are currently working on it.
It does not apply to you unless you’re in a domain and the network mapping feature isn’t working
I have edited the post so it’s made clear thanks
I saw the bug post as well thanks. I’ll reply properly to it tomorrow
